At Blizzard, a Localization Audio Producer is more than just a coordinator of recording assets and information. Our audio producers have a deep knowledge and understanding of our games and the recording industry. They are passionate about helping us to fulfill our Localization Team’s mission of ‘It Feels Blizzard in Every Language’. More specifically, our Localization Audio Producers also help to make sure ‘It Sounds Blizzard in Every Language.’ If you have a passion for video games, VO recording, and captivating a global fanbase, this job may be for you. Localization Audio Producers collaborate with internal and external partners to plan the audio strategy for new game releases, to cast appropriate voice talent for each IP, and to coordinate and manage the recording process to deliver high-quality audio assets on time to our development teams. What you bring to the table:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver technically and artistically excellent localized VO assets on schedule.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners in the recording and delivery process.
  • Participate in the selection and evaluation of external partners, standard processes, and tools.

  • Participate in the casting of actors for key roles.

Digital Extremes is looking for an Sound Designer. As the Sound Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and detailed sound design for various elements of the game including sound design for levels, weapons, A.I., U.I., cinematics, animations, marketing and other gameplay events. You possess a passion for field recording, Foley, and using DAW-based tools to create sound design. You will take direction from Senior Sound Designers and the Audio Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create engaging and detailed sound design for various elements of the game. This includes sound design for levels, weapons, A.I., U.I, cinematics, animations, marketing, and other gameplay events. Must be comfortable creating sound design under the direction of Senior Sound Designers and Audio Director.
  • Implement sound design and other audio into the game engine. Ability to work with audio engine tools to achieve the desired audio outcome in game.
  • Record Foley and gather field recordings for use in our games.
  • Record, design, and edit voices and voice overs for use in our games.
  • Find and fix audio related bugs.
  • Maintain a familiarity with basic lua scripting as it pertains to game audio.
  • Maintain an appropriate game audio mix at all times, on all platforms (PC, PS5, Xbox X, Switch).
  • Maintain an audio program skill set with regards to current industry standards (Pro Tools, Reaper, plugins, etc.).
  • Help to mentor Junior Sound Designers and be a self-starter.
  • Passion for helping to continually improve the game audio engine, and work with audio programmer on new features and fixes.
  • Possess an intermediate knowledge of audio recording and editing techniques.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Post-secondary in audio related program.
  • At least 4 years' experience in an audio related field or 2+ years experience in the game industry
  • Experienced and comfortable working with both Mac and PC
  • Passion for world-class audio
  • Thrive in a small-knit team of passionate audio professionals

Senior Audio Designer

As a Senior Audio Designer on the Marathon team, you’ll function as a creative multiplier, eagerly soliciting feedback from cross-discipline partners and leveraging the collective expertise of the Audio team to deliver evocative player experiences that blur the line between SFX and Music. You’ll collaborate with the Senior Audio Lead and Audio Director to take features from concept to completion, setting quality targets that achieve the shared audio vision for the project. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with the Audio Director and other stakeholders to conceptualize, design, implement, and review expected audio flows at a high quality standard
  • Design interactive music systems, create immersive aural atmospherics, and manage experiential audio consistency across the core game flow
  • Edit and implement Music and SFX at a shippable quality bar that’s in line with the defined Audio direction and project aesthetics
  • Collaborate with UX Designers to support player-focused designs and shape the quality of the game’s presentation through sound
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders to support sonic branding for key project and marketing objectives
REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Demonstrated games industry experience in an audio capacity, including audio post-production, music, sound design, dialogue, and mixing
  • Demonstrable proficiency with standard industry tools and processes.
  • Experience working with and/or designing interactive music systems
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience working and developing relationships with creative teams to aid in the iterative creative process

Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly).

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

$99,000—$122,000 USD Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:
  • 20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
  • 10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
  • 10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
  • One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked
