Wee Studio Records is looking for a Sound Technician/Music Producer to join our team in South Dell, Isle of Lewis. This is a 12-month graduate placement in a unique studio environment, working on a wide range of projects in music production, recording, and live sound.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position at 37 hours per week. The role is paid at the National Living Wage. Applicants must have completed a degree qualification within the last four years. The job is based at Wee Studio Records, South Dell, Isle of Lewis.
What We’re Looking ForWe need someone with skills in Pro Tools and music production, live sound mixing, and instrument proficiency. Gaelic speaking is a bonus. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to tour as part of the role.

We are looking for a versatile and experienced Senior Sound Designer to support our audio team in creating and implementing high-quality sound effects and ambient audio. This role is crucial in establishing the audio foundation for our game during pre-production and will collaborate closely with designers, artists, and developers to enhance the overall player experience.
Core Responsibilities- Design and implement compelling sound effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematic moments.
- Contribute to the creation of immersive ambient audio landscapes to bring the game world to life.
- Collaborate with the audio team to refine and maintain the audio style and vision for the project.
- Work closely with designers and developers to ensure audio is seamlessly integrated and supports gameplay mechanics.
- Troubleshoot and optimize audio assets to meet technical requirements and performance standards.
- Assist in defining and documenting audio pipelines and workflows for current and future development needs.
- 5+ years of experience in sound design for video games, with at least one shipped title.
- Proficiency in sound design software and DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Reaper, Ableton Live).
- Strong implementation skills with audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) and game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- A generalist mindset with the ability to contribute to various aspects of audio production, including SFX, ambiances, music editing, VO mixing, and technical implementation.
- A keen ear for detail and a passion for creating immersive audio experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.
- Ability to work well alone and in a team environment, remaining flexible to the changing needs of the project.
- Experience in early-stage game development or pre-production milestones.
- Familiarity with procedural audio techniques and tools.

The base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The JobWe’re looking for a full time Head of Audio. This is a hands on role that will give you plenty of opportunity to work on events as well as in the warehouse and office, including site visits attending networking events and industry socials.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the entire audio side of the business, including audio production activities, managing projects and clients, collaborating with teams, and working alongside the other disciplines in the business to ensure high-quality event delivery for clients.
A key part of this job will be integrating our new L’Acoustics L2 PA system into our inventory and workflow.
Essential Skills and ExperienceAny successful applicant will need to have the following skills and/or experience:
- Extensive experience working as an audio engineer in the UK- Proven experience working with equipment from our inventory- Happy to both work as part of a team and as a team leader- Legal to work in the UK- Driving license
You will also need to be confident and conversant with the following software:
