Nous recherchons pour notre studio de Montpellier un(e) Sound Designer VR (H/F) pour intégrer l’équipe Audio et rejoindre la production de nos projets en cours.

Description du poste
Sous la responsabilité du Directeur Audio vos missions seront :
  1. Réaliser des designs sonores interactifs en phase avec la direction artistique et technique audio
  2. Concevoir des sons répondant aux besoins des designs et respectant les guidelines du projet
  3. Réaliser la post-production sonore sur des cinématiques ou des vidéos et le mixage
  4. Réaliser des enregistrements sonores et de voix en studio et en extérieur, cleaner les assets et assurer le mastering.
  5. Assurer le bon fonctionnement des studios et des équipements sons en respectant les consignes d’utilisation et en participant à leur amélioration
  6. Peut être amené(e) à concevoir et réaliser un environnement sonore complet pour un mandat précis
  7. Peut être amené(e) à éditer de la musique
  8. Participer à la recherche d’outils ou de systèmes audio
  9. Aider à établir des lignes directrices et des pipelines audio
  10. Collaborer à l’optimisation du flux de travail entre les middlewares audio (Wwise) et le moteur du projet pour assurer l’intégration de nouvelles fonctionnalités.
  11. Communiquer et fournir des documentations de nouveaux outils et fonctionnalités / connaissances (comment, étape par étape …) pour co-dév équipes et d’autres projets.
  12. Avoir la légitimité de prendre en charge les sujets DT si aucun DT audio sur le projet et être un référent à d’autres métiers techniques sur le projet (Tech art, DT LD, etc.)
  13. Assurer l’intégration et l’optimisation audio avec d’autres corps de métiers
  14. Débuguer les fonctionnalités audios
  15. Aider et former les nouveaux arrivants
Qualifications
Compétences techniques :
  1. Vous avez au minimum 5 ans d’expériences en tant que Sound Designer pour la production de jeux vidéo et idéalement sur au moins un jeu AAA
    ou bien d’un minimum de 10 ans de montage audio pour la production audio-visuelle et quelques notions du son interactif (que vous développez)Maîtrise des outils/logiciels spécialisés en Audio (Protools, Reaper, Soundminer ou Soundly, Wwise…)
  2. Être pro-actif concernant les nouvelles techniques et tendances
  3. Définir les spécifications techniques en collaboration avec le directeur audio
  4. Être force de proposition concernant les outils et systèmes existants
  5. Avoir des connaissances en mix audio
  6. Maîtrise d’Excel

Job description

Amazon Game Studios is seeking an Audio Designer to join our team in sunny Irvine, CA. This position will work with the Creative Director to build the soundscape and musical structure of The Lord of the Rings.

Whether it’s the cheerful melody of a Walking Song or the screams of the Nazgûl, sound and music play an outsize role in Tolkien’s books. We need an inventive audio designer who can bring their own interpretation to the work, and who can experiment with us as we explore new uses for song.

Who you’ll be:
· An early member of our Audio team, reporting to the Creative Director
· The curator of music, voice and audio entering the game

What you’ll do:
· Work with the Creator Director to apply sound and song to the game design
· Work with third party composers to create memorable musical themes
· Sound design each hero, creature and setting of the world to create a consistent audio landscape
· Build and manage a library of audio assets
· Collaborate with an audio techartist to customize your tools
· From time-to-time, use your audio super powers to support marketing and production efforts
· Set the standard with your individual skill, then as the project advances guide others to create high quality work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience in the games industry as a sound designer, or equivalent work in a related field
· 2+ shipped AAA game titles or equivalent work e.g. live product development
· Bachelor’s Degree in Music or a related field, or equivalent work experience
· Online Portfolio demonstrating your skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· A passion for video games
· Experience with game development tools, for example Wwise or equivalent.
· Proficiency with audio software, such as Reaper, Pro Tools, Sound Forge, Vegas, etc.
· Experience iterating on audio for a variety of game platforms
· Experience directing voice talent and third party musicians
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.

Who You Are:

Our ideal candidate has a combination of solid aesthetic sense, acute attention to detail and a high level of technical expertise, as well as a strong understanding of audio engineering principles and techniques. This person will have significant experience using tools such as Avid Pro-Tools, iZotope RX & AudioKinetic Wwise, amongst others.  We are looking for someone who has experience working in various surround formats, has a minimum of 5 years experience as an audio designer in the gaming industry (or related field), and has shipped at least one AAA title in a Senior Audio Designer capacity.  (Multi-platform experience preferred)

What We Need:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Audio Designer who can help us create emotionally compelling & technically sophisticated audio experiences for our AAA multi-platform game.

In this role, you will work with the Lead Audio Designer to help design and create exceptional quality audio content that matches the look, feel, and style of gameplay as set by the Art Director, Creative Director, Engineers, Producers, Game Designers, Animators & Artists. Day-to-day duties will be primarily centered on designing audio content, as well as implementation and specking Audio equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the above-mentioned teams to design and build game audio that supports gameplay and the aesthetic sense
  • Work with animators to support cut scenes and other cinematics
  • Assist with voice recording sessions and further editing and integration of those files
  • Work in WWise and Unreal Editor to integrate audio
  • Manage and lead all external audio resources, VO and Foley when necessary
  • When needed, compose music that fits the style of the game and propels the vision forward
