We are looking for highly motivated and quality obsessed sound designers of all levels to join our team. You should have a serious passion for audio, and be excited about working collaboratively to advance both your creative and technical audio design skills, while working on cutting-edge projects alongside industry leaders and experts.

This position is remote, requires a well maintained media-capable computer and a high speed internet connection.

This project will require work hours primarily between the PST and EST time zones. Candidates outside of North America who are flexible with their working hours are also welcome to apply but this is not negotiable.

We are looking for a talented Sound Engineer eager to work on upcoming AAA titles alongside a team of top developers in the region.

As a Sound Engineer, you will work closely with the development team to craft and implement all kinds of sound effects, contributing to bringing the creative vision of the game to life in VR. Lead Sound Designer

The Omeda Journey so far

It was the 9th of June 2018. A man by the name of SergeantSmokie uploads a mysterious trailer on Reddit for a game called Predecessor. Some might recognise the assets, made freely available on UE. This was the promise of not just Paragon 2.0, but something more.

Soon after the trailer, Fringe joins the ranks as voted by the community, and before we know it, Omeda is born.

Fast forward to 27th of January 2020. RGSACE gracefully accepts the helm of this studio. A popular streamer on the Paragon field, with his financial prowess he secures the funding ($2.2M Seed, and more recently $20M Series A) that Omeda needs to take off and thrive. Since then, Omeda has steadily grown an international team with a clear vision: Bring Predecessor to life.

And here's where you come in! We need an experienced Lead Sound Designer like you to champion the Sound discipline.

As a Lead Sound Designer for Predecessor, you will work with producers, designers, artists, and engineers to deliver high-quality audio that engages and connects to the players.

Omeda Studios is at an exciting stage where the Sound team is just starting to form, you’ll have a direct impact at an early stage company in creating a strong sound direction for the game. You will help determine the resource needs and coordinate various disciplines internally and externally.

In This Role You Will
  • Empower and support your team to deliver the highest audio quality possible by providing direction and leadership
  • Help to set ambitious goals and improve by challenging ideas, form a positive relationship with the team to bring out the best results

  • Worked on at least 2 AA+ PC/Console titles
  • Expertise in the holistic game audio process (Sound Design, Voice Over, Music Implementation, Technology, Player Experience, etc.)
  • Experience with sound design tools such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Reaper, Ableton, Waves plugins, etc, high level of implementation between exporting assets from DAW to the game engine
  • Experience with voice over processing tools and techniques
  • Experience with audio middleware Wwise, Fmod
  • Experience within the Unreal Engine, creating blueprints or similar visual scripting
  • Organisation skills, autonomous along with the ability to anticipate risks for the audio pipeline
