  • Expertise in FMOD, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and prevalent audio design tools.
  • High degree of autonomy and organisation, with robust problem-solving skills and a proactive work ethic.
  • Experience working with Unity.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Plastic, P4, etc.).
  • Ability to meet shifting deadlines and adapt to changes in scheduling.

Sound Designer / Composer

Job description

Superduper is a leading company in the web3 industry that specializes in developing entertainment IP, building platforms, and co-creating with the world's biggest brands.

The Role

We are looking for someone to creatively lead the development of the music and sound aspects of world building for our IP. This means a figure who is proficient at creating sfx for specific characters, atmospheres for specific locations for future re-use by the edit department.

In addition to this, the role also entails receiving the finished video and composing accompanying music for it, normally around 15 to 30 seconds in length, varying in tone according to the specific content. The day to day will be a mixture of reactive music composing to urgent posts, and creating a library of sounds for future use.

The work will be focussed in 2 areas:
  • sound/music deliveries of social media animated shorts
  • building out a library of sounds and musical elements that serve to define the IP on an audio level
Role Description

This is a 3 month contract fully remote role (open to extension pending next projects).
This is a collaborative role and will involve taking briefs and feedback along with making the best out of the animated material provided by the team.

We are looking for someone who has worked with animation before, is well organised and is interested in finding creative solutions that work within a tight schedule.

  • Strong knowledge of music theory, music composition, and music production
  • Proficiency in using music software and tools
  • Excellent creativity and ability to create original music
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team

  • Stylistically we are looking for someone whose work grabs our attention and doesn’t let go! In the context of social media its important to get attention and keep it. Our deliverables should be a blend of effective and attention grabbing posts with narratively driven creative choices.

Candidates will be chosen for interview based on their portfolios, the successful candidate will be chosen based on the response to a test that we’ll send after interview, the test will be to apply sound and music to a piece with no audio based on a brief.
