We are looking for a Lead Sound Designer to join our growing team. The Lead Game Designer will report to the CPO and have full responsibility for the sound department including turning creative input into tangible sound direction as well as research and best practices in sound design for our product ranges. You will also manage a group of sound designers and the requirements for our engines and GDKs and tool chains involving anything sound related. The position also requires creative ideas around sound design and collaborative teamwork within a group of skilled peers covering every discipline of game development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Build up and manage a team of Sound Designers

  • Ensure that all audio design and assets are up to AAA standards in quality.
  • Work closely with leads and directors to ensure that the audio design and audio production supports the games creative vision and direction.
  • Identifying audio opportunities and asset needs for Play’n GO commercial and promotional products in a self-driven but collaborative manner
  • Establish and maintain the sound production and implementation pipeline and set the requirements for development of propriety tools and development as well as managing the use of 3rd party tools related to audio production and implementation.
  • Make high quality audio samples.
  • Produce original sound, used as temporary or final asset (SFX, ambiance…).
  • Apply music theory and concepts when working with audio design.
  • Implement of all types of audio assets using proprietary and 3rd party tools ensuring that all are up to AAA standards in quality.
  • Work closely with Game Designers & Art Directors to ensure that the audio design supports the game direction.
  • Testing, debugging, and assuring the functional quality of all audio in an assigned project.
  • Work closely and collaborate with our external parties in creating sounds and maintaining quality.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Audio Designer who can help us create emotionally compelling & technically sophisticated audio experiences for our AAA multi-platform game.

In this role, you will work with the Lead Audio Designer to help design and create exceptional quality audio content that matches the look, feel, and style of gameplay as set by the Art Director, Creative Director, Engineers, Producers, Game Designers, Animators & Artists. Day-to-day duties will be primarily centered on designing audio content, as well as implementation and specking Audio equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the above-mentioned teams to design and build game audio that supports gameplay and the aesthetic sense
  • Work with animators to support cut scenes and other cinematics
  • Assist with voice recording sessions and further editing and integration of those files
  • Work in WWise and Unreal Editor to integrate audio
  • Manage and lead all external audio resources, VO and Foley when necessary
  • When needed, compose music that fits the style of the game and propels the vision forward

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate has a combination of solid aesthetic sense, acute attention to detail and a high level of technical expertise, as well as a strong understanding of audio engineering principles and techniques. This person will have significant experience using tools such as Avid Pro-Tools, iZotope RX & AudioKinetic Wwise, amongst others. We are looking for someone who has experience working in various surround formats, has a minimum of 5 years experience as an audio designer in the gaming industry (or related field), and has shipped at least one AAA title in a Senior Audio Designer capacity. (Multi-platform experience preferred)
