We are looking for anybody with the ability to to capture and mix the engine sounds and implement them using FMOD.

We would also need the help on ambient racing sounds; such as wind noise, transmission noise, tire squeal loop, turbo loop, and car crash sounds etc..

PitStop Productions are looking for a Production Assistant to join our audio team at our studios in Barnsley. This role will be based within the Sound Design department assisting with the coordination of projects alongside the Production Managers and Project Leads.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to creatively contribute to the many titles we have in production, all while being supported by 60+ audio professionals in all departments at PitStop such as Sound Design, Music, Voice and Performance Capture.

Responsibilities
  • Working alongside the Production team and Project Leads to support the provision of audio services within game development
  • Project scoping with the Production team, working out deliverables, timelines and potential resources, then supporting the delegation of work/tasks
  • Creating and upholding project documentation, understanding the production process and the audio requirements it entails
  • Maintaining calendars, schedules, production timelines, updating documentation as the project progresses
  • Hosting and attending meetings both internally and with clients to discuss production pipelines, blockers and schedules
  • Managing delegated tasks within issue tracking software such as JIRA & Redmine, assigning and following up to ensure the flexible and efficient working
  • Organising and attending routine sync meetings and regular catch ups with team members for updates on progress, ensuring meeting agendas are written up prior
  • Arranging project ‘milestone’ meetings such as: project reviews/playthroughs and creative kick offs to ensure the progression of each project

  • Own sizable chunks of the audio experience, such as weapons or levels.
  • Aid other disciplines to build a better experience; utilizing audio to its best ability to tell stories, sell mechanics and craft experiences. You will be regularly required to find opportunities and maximize the potential for the project.
